A. The law states if your car fails, it must be repaired and retested before it is deemed legally roadworthy. You will be issued with a test certificate only after the satisfactory repairs and retest have been met. We have found that majority of the repairs are simple and can be carried out onsite on the same day, and we will always advise you upfront about any work that needs to be done.

A. If we are able to repair your car ourselves at our garage by the following day, there is no retest fee. If your car is removed from our garage by yourself and returned to us within 10 working days, the cost for the retest is fixed at £20.00. In all other cases a full test is required and will be charged at our current rate. Please click here for further details on terms and conditions.

A. You have the right to appeal if your vehicle fails the MOT test. You will need to ask us for a VT17 form. We will give you our full assistance in helping you fill the form should you require it. Please note you should not have your vehicle repaired before the appeal is considered as any change may affect the outcome of the appeal. If your appeal is successful the fee or part of it will be returned back to you.
